During the recession, many older Americans lost their jobs. Some of these people have been with companies for 20+ years and did not know how to use modern technologies to find jobs. My business partner and I created “The Layoff Support Network.” The site had features similar to that of Facebook.  The Layoff Support Network grew to be one of the largest privately funded unemployment support sites in the US.

During that time I co-wrote and published a book called The Laid-Off Ninja. A montly magazine followed.

During that time, I met many very desperate people.  All were upset, some had suicidal thoughts, some had suicidal plans.  I believe we addressed these problems in a more personal way then any other relief group. But it is expensive being a Superhero. I did spend my retirement money on it.  I figured there had to be someone that would build on at least one of my inventions.  Spoiler, nope. Everything I ever did was done alone.  Now that I am close to retirement age, I really could have used those funds to push my current and final project, SitchAware.  It is a Unicorn. If you still don’t believe me after reading the content on this site, well, you are an American.  I’m an old man. What do I know?
